For Home Subscribers
STEM Discovery Boxes are geared toward kids ages 7 to 12 (early-teen)… but honestly, everyone loves them! The younger the child, the more adult help they will need, but luckily, adults like to tinker with our projects as much as kids do!
Website customers:
If you are enrolled in our month-to-month subscription plan, your subscription will automatically renew each month until you cancel. If you choose a 3, 6, 9, or 12-month prepaid discounted subscription, you will be automatically renewed in intervals according to the length of your original subscription. This ensures that the fun keeps on coming each month and your little STEMist never misses a project. You can cancel the auto-renewal feature at any time or choose to opt out of auto-renewal at checkout.
Amazon customers:
You will not be enrolled in auto-renew. You will need to resubscribe directly on our website to avoid duplicate projects.
Cratejoy customers: You can toggle auto-renew on/off directly in your Cratejoy account.
Shipping is $7.95 per box, but we know how much everyone dislikes shipping fees, so we pass along FREE SHIPPING discounts periodically. Join our mailing list to get FREE SHIPPING updates.
We think you will absolutely love STEM Discovery Boxes and will hopefully have no need to return them, but we understand that sometimes returns are needed. You may return unopened and unused STEM Discovery Boxes for a full refund. All return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer. Returns must be made within 30 days of purchase for a full refund. Contact us for return shipping address. Return packages must include: Order number, reason for return, items in original packaging, and in unused condition.
Your first box will ship within 1-3 business days. Subsequent boxes will ship with the next scheduled monthly shipment (between the 1st and 5th of the month) based on when your order was placed (whether it was before or after the 16th of the month). Yes! If you purchased your subscription on our website, you can manage your subscription using the steps below. If you purchased on Amazon, Cratejoy, or another shop, please follow the instructions for those specific sites.
To turn auto-renew on/off:
- Log in to your account on our site (click “Login” or “My Account”).
- Once logged in, go to your Subscriptions or Account page and find the active subscription (for your STEM Discovery Box).
- Click the Manage button next to the subscription.
- Look for the option labeled “Auto-Renew”, or “Continue my subscription at the end of the term”.
- Toggle or enable that option to ON or OFF so that your subscription will, or won't, automatically renew at the end of each term.
- If you decide you’d like to turn it off, but resume later, you can turn auto-renewal back ON at any time.
If you prefer to pause temporarily (skip a term) rather than turn off renewal entirely, you can access that option in the same “Manage” section (look for “Pause” or “Skip next shipment”).
Tips:

If you’re unsure whether auto-renew is on/off, you’ll usually see a status under your subscription that says “Renewal enabled” or “Will renew on [date]”.

Turning OFF auto-renew does not cancel the current term—you’ll still receive the box(es) you already paid for. It simply prevents the next term from starting automatically.

If you decide you’d like to resume later, you can turn auto-renew back ON at any time.

If STEM Discovery Boxes is not yet an approved vendor in your school or scholarship program, you can often request vendor approval.
