The family behind the box

STEM Discovery Boxes is a woman-owned, family-run company founded by Carrie Bryson in Central Pennsylvania. We ship hands-on science kits that your little STEMist can do the day the box arrives: 3 projects, 3 science lessons, and all the needed supplies included.

Our mission

Hands-on science, made easy for every learner

STEM Discovery Boxes exists to make high-quality science easy to bring home or into the classroom, across topics like chemistry, physics, engineering, and astronomy.

We started this because gathering supplies from three different stores and portioning them out is the fastest way to kill a kid's excitement. So we do that part. Families, teachers, camps, and funded-education programs open the box and go, and kids get to spend their energy on the science instead of the setup.

    We assemble our kits in the USA and draw from over 100 different projects in our vast inventory, adding more all the time.

Our story

Founded by a mom, run by a family

Carrie Bryson founded STEM Discovery Boxes and still runs it with her family in Central Pennsylvania. What began as a way to find high-quality science projects for her own kids has grown into a catalog of over 100 different projects, each one tested to make sure it works and holds a child's attention.

Every kit is assembled in the USA, so the box that lands on a family's doorstep or a teacher's desk is ready to build. That is the whole idea: less work for the grown-up, more science for the kid.
