1. Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your use of the STEM Discovery Boxes website and your purchase of our products and subscriptions. By placing an order or using this site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or place an order.

“STEM Discovery Boxes,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to STEM Discovery Boxes, a woman-owned, family-run business based in Central Pennsylvania, USA.

2. Products and subscriptions

Each STEM Discovery Box includes 3 hands-on projects plus 3 science lessons with all supplies included. Subscriptions are available month-to-month or as prepaid 3, 6, 9, or 12 month terms. Product contents, pricing, and availability may change between shipments.

Our products are designed for children ages 5 to 12+ and are sold to adults. Adult supervision is recommended for all projects. Some projects contain small parts and household-chemistry materials. Follow the printed instructions and safety notes in each box.

3. Billing and automatic renewal

• Month-to-month subscriptions renew automatically each month until you cancel.
• Prepaid 3, 6, 9, and 12 month subscriptions renew automatically at the end of the term, for the same term length, unless you turn off auto-renewal.
• You can opt out of auto-renewal at checkout or any time before your renewal date from your account.
• Checkout and subscription billing are processed by Subbly, our commerce platform. Marketplace orders (for example Amazon, Cratejoy, or Odyssey) are billed and managed by those platforms under their terms.

4. Cancelling and pausing

• You can cancel or pause your subscription at any time from your account, or by contacting us.
• Turning off auto-renewal does not cancel the current term. You will still receive the boxes you already paid for; it stops the next term from starting.
• Orders placed on a marketplace (Amazon, Cratejoy, Odyssey) must be cancelled through that marketplace’s account tools.

5. Returns and refunds

You may return unopened and unused boxes within 30 days of purchase for a full refund. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer. Contact us for the return shipping address. Return packages must include your order number, the reason for return, and the items in their original packaging and unused condition.

6. ESA and marketplace purchases

Purchases made with education funding (ESA programs) follow funding-program rules:

• Orders may be cancelled only if they have not yet been processed or shipped.
• For a return or replacement, contact us within 5 days of delivery.
• Approved refunds are issued back to the original ESA funding account. Refunds cannot be issued directly to parents or customers.
• Once a subscription or multi-box order has begun processing, it is committed and non-refundable.
• If a return is due to damage, defect, or our error, we cover return shipping.
• Orders placed through Odyssey Marketplace follow Odyssey’s program-specific cancellation, return, and refund policies, and refunds go to the student’s ESA account via Odyssey.

7. Shipping

• Shipping is free within the United States, including APO, FPO, and DPO addresses.
• Your first box ships within 1 to 3 business days of your order.
• Renewal boxes ship with the monthly shipment between the 1st and 5th of the month.
• We cannot guarantee holiday delivery dates, but orders ship promptly after they are placed.

8. Intellectual property

The site, our project instructions, lesson content, videos, photographs, and branding belong to STEM Discovery Boxes or our licensors. You may use them for personal, non-commercial use with your boxes. You may not copy, resell, or redistribute our content without written permission. Classroom use of purchased materials with your own students is welcome.

9. Acceptable use

Do not misuse the site: no unlawful activity, no attempts to break or probe the site’s security, no scraping at disruptive volume, and no submitting false information through our forms.

10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The site and products are provided “as is.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties and are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the site or products. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the product giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under applicable consumer-protection law.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The effective date above reflects the latest version. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
